    Programming in C/C++; Hardware skills; the student should ideally take ECE 452 or have prior experience in robotics

    Brief Summary of what is expected from the student:
    There are several projects available:

    1. The student will program a haptic device to interact with a virtual reality simulation. The technology is used for medical training and rehabilitation.

    2. The student will develop a sensory glove equipped with the inertial navigation unit and pressure sensors. The glove will be used for human-robot interaction research.

    3. The student will study security of switched networked control systems. Various types of security breaches and techniques for thwarting them will be investigated.
